TeraMuls Bitumen Emulsifier
Bituminous emulsions were first produced in the early 20th century. Bitumen emulsions account for approximately 20% of global bitumen usage, and their utilization has rapidly increased in recent years.
TeraMuls is an emulsifier that enables the dispersion of bitumen particles in water. It is used to produce cationic, anionic, and non-ionic bitumen emulsions.
With emulsions produced using TeraMuls, the following applications can be performed:
- Tack coat
- Surface dressing
- Slurry seal
- Micro-surfacing applications
Advantages:
- The produced emulsions can be transported over longer distances without degradation or cutting, maintaining stability for longer storage periods and allowing for adjustable cutting times.
- Due to the amino structure in the emulsifier, the resistance of the emulsion to stripping is increased.
- TeraMuls enhances the adhesion of aggregates with asphalt emulsions without the need for additional stripping inhibitors.
- A wide range of emulsions can be produced, tailored to different applications and construction techniques.
- It is possible to obtain cold recycled mixtures (recycling) and other types of asphalt coatings and mixtures on-site and in the plant, in an easy, economical, durable, and long-lasting manner.
