HiperCell Cellulosic Fiber

HiperCell Cellulosic Fiber is a high-performance cellulosic fiber that supports bitumen and increases stability in open and semi-open mixtures (such as TMA and porous asphalt).

In stone mastic asphalt (TMA) applications, there is a higher amount of bitumen, which can lead to issues with bitumen bleeding. HiperCell Cellulosic Fiber prevents bleeding and keeps the surface of the asphalt intact. It is also used to enhance the mechanical strength of the asphalt, reduce the stripping of bitumen from aggregates, and provide other positive properties to the mixture.

Advantages:

  • In TMA design, there is 30-40% more bitumen compared to standard asphalt applications. After production, the bitumen in the asphalt mixture loaded onto trucks begins to bleed downward due to gravity before it is laid on the road, disrupting the homogeneity of the mixture. HiperCell prevents bleeding and maintains the homogeneity of the asphalt mixture.
  • The high amount of bitumen in TMA tends to migrate to the surface under the pressure of rollers, leading to bleeding. HiperCell prevents this bleeding and preserves the homogeneity of the asphalt mixture.
  • Increases resistance to cracking.
  • Delays fatigue cracking.
